Tommy Vercetti Still Has No GTA 6 Role. Why Your Pre-Order Carries His Vice City Style

Tommy Vercetti is not a confirmed character in GTA 6. Rockstar Games has not named him among the cast for the game, which is set to launch on 19 November 2026.

The two playable protagonists are Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The supporting characters Rockstar has introduced also do not include Tommy Vercetti. His connection to GTA 6 comes only through cosmetic items and weaponry in special editions of the game.

How Tommy Vercetti connects to GTA 6

Tommy Vercetti's name reaches GTA 6 through specific pre-order and Ultimate Edition bonuses. These are stylistic nods to the character from GTA: Vice City, released in 2002.

The Vintage Vice City Pack is a pre-order bonus. It includes a tropical weapon pattern for most guns that is inspired by Tommy Vercetti's iconic palm tree button-up shirt. This pack also contains the two-tone '55 Vapid Stanier sedan, a Shore Court personal garage near Ocean Beach, and vintage outfits for both Jason and Lucia.

The Ultimate Edition of GTA 6 contains the Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers. Rockstar states these his and hers revolvers, with palm-tree-etched grips, are sourced from the Vercetti Estate. This is a direct, albeit item-based, link to Tommy Vercetti's legacy in Vice City.

The confirmed cast and setting

GTA 6 features a new story with new characters. The leads are Jason Duval, who grew up around grifters and did a stint in the Army, and Lucia Caminos, who was taught to fight by her father and served time in Leonida Penitentiary.

The confirmed supporting cast includes Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, the rap duo Real Dimez, bank robber Raul Bautista, and drug runner Brian Heder. Tommy Vercetti is not among them.

The game is set in the state of Leonida, home to Vice City. Rockstar calls this setting "Vice City, USA" and describes it as the darkest side of the sunniest place in America.

What Rockstar has not confirmed

A cameo, voice role, or any other appearance by Tommy Vercetti in GTA 6 is not confirmed. Rockstar has provided no information suggesting the character will appear beyond the thematic references in the special edition items.

Many details about GTA 6 remain unannounced. Rockstar has not published a full voice cast, a mission list, or details about an online mode. Whether cheat codes will return is also not yet confirmed.

GTA 6 editions and launch facts

GTA 6 is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick publicly reaffirmed the release date of 19 November 2026 and stated there will be no further delay.

Pre-orders for the game opened on 25 June 2026. The Standard Edition costs $79.99, and the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99. The Ultimate Edition includes an exclusive collection of vehicles, weapons, and apparel, with the Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers from the Vercetti Estate.

A PC release date for GTA 6 has not been announced. Based on the history of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, a PC version could arrive in 2027, but this is only an estimate from past patterns.
