GTA 6 Still Has No Switch 2 Version. Your Day One Options Are PS5 and Xbox Series
Grand Theft Auto VI is not coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive have not announced any version of the game for the Nintendo Switch or its successor. The only confirmed platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. The release date is locked for 19 November 2026, a date publicly reaffirmed by Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick with a statement that there will be no further delay.
The official platform list excludes Switch 2
Rockstar's official marketing states the game 'Plays Best On PlayStation 5'. The confirmed list is limited to the current generation of consoles from Sony and Microsoft. There is no version for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. This focus on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S means the game is built to leverage their hardware capabilities. Any speculation about a Nintendo Switch 2 port is not based on official information from Rockstar or Take-Two.
What about a PC version of GTA 6?
A PC release date for GTA 6 has also not been announced. Rockstar has a history of bringing its major titles to PC after their console launches. Grand Theft Auto V arrived on PC about 18 months after its console debut, and Red Dead Redemption 2 took about 12 months. If GTA 6 follows that pattern, a PC version could arrive sometime in 2027. It is important to note this is an estimate based on past releases, not a confirmation from Rockstar.

Where to find official information
The only source for confirmed details about GTA 6 is Rockstar Games. The company has released two trailers and one extended look, all available on YouTube. The third video, An Extended Look, was captured from in-game footage on PlayStation 5 and was released on 27 August 2026. For announcements about platforms, release dates, or editions, always refer to the official Rockstar Games website or its verified social channels.
