Skip GTA 6 APK Scams on Your Phone. Rockstar Still Has No Mobile Version
There is no GTA 6 download for Android, iPhone, or the Play Store. Rockstar Games has not announced a mobile version of Grand Theft Auto VI. Any website or listing offering a GTA 6 APK file is distributing fake software that poses a serious security risk to your device and personal information.
Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6 will launch on 19 November 2026 for only three platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. The official site states it plays best on PlayStation 5. There are no plans for PS4, Xbox One, or mobile devices like phones and tablets. A PC version has not been announced, and based on Rockstar's history, a PC release is only an estimate for 2027.
Why a mobile GTA 6 is not happening
Grand Theft Auto VI is a major open-world game built for the latest console hardware. Rockstar has never released a mainline GTA title on mobile at launch. The scale and detail of the state of Leonida, including Vice City and the Leonida Keys, are designed for systems like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The company has a history of bringing older titles to mobile much later, but that is not the case for a new release. Any claim of a GTA 6 APK or Play Store version before the official console launch is false. These fakes often contain malware or attempt to steal your data.
The confirmed platforms and release date
The only way to play GTA 6 on its release date is on a current-generation console. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick publicly reaffirmed the launch date of 19 November 2026 and said there will be no further delay. The game will not be available on last-generation consoles like the PS4 or Xbox One.
Rockstar has also confirmed that boxed copies contain a download code, and outlets report there will be no Blu-ray game disc at launch.
What to do instead of searching for mobile downloads
If you want to play GTA 6, you should prepare for its release on the confirmed platforms. Pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026. The standard edition costs $79.99, and the ultimate edition costs $99.99. The pre-order bonus is the Vintage Vice City Pack.
Do not download any files claiming to be GTA 6 for mobile. Do not enter your information on sites offering APK files. These are scams. The only safe sources for game information are Rockstar's official website and channels.
What is known about GTA 6
The game is set in the state of Leonida, which Rockstar calls Vice City, USA. You play as two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The story involves their life in the criminal underworld. Supporting characters include Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, and Raul Bautista.
The game will feature six highlighted regions: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga. An official soundtrack album with 34 original tracks will release alongside the game on 19 November 2026.
GTA 6 is not coming to Android, iPhone, or the Play Store. The only confirmed platforms for the 19 November 2026 release are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Any download offer for other devices is a scam.
