Key facts about the GTA 6 cover and art release
Rockstar confirmed active development of GTA 6 on 4 February 2022. The cover art reveal on 18 June 2026 was part of the pre-order announcement. Pre-orders opened one week later, on 25 June 2026.
The game is a single player experience with two playable leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The story is set in the state of Leonida, home to Vice City, which Rockstar calls Vice City, USA. Supporting characters featured in the artwork include Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder.
The six regions highlighted by Rockstar are Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga. The release date is 19 November 2026, a date Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has reaffirmed with no further delays expected.
The only place to get confirmed GTA 6 artwork is the Artwork and Wallpapers section of rockstargames.com/VI. Do not use leak sites, as their images are from early builds and not representative of the final game.
